The main creative material is metal fittings and secondary objects: old objects that have lost their original function. In this way, the artist's practice is connected with the ideas of sustainability, ecological themes and recycling culture. The work reveals a sense of humor, nostalgia for childhood memories, as well as reflections on transience and citizenship. The works invite the viewer to rethink the meanings of everyday objects and pay attention to broader social and environmental contexts.
The idea of the work:
130 × 83 × 23 cm, 120 kg
The work depicts a symbolic "workability scale" of the workweek. Monday is tilted, barely workable; Tuesday is more stable; Wednesday is the most productive; and as the end of the week approaches, workability decreases again, as thoughts turn to the weekend. Taken as a whole, it is a witty reflection on the everyday relationship with work and the often ambivalent attitude towards the work routine.
