In 1995, on the 25th anniversary of the opening of the Vilnius-Kaunas motorway, a road museum was opened in Vievis. The museum focuses on acquiring objects that reflect the history of the Lithuanian roads, dating back from the Roman Empire to the present day. Here visitors can see model buildings, road construction and repair tools, equipment, carts, road signs, road maps, photographs, books, magazines and other Lithuanian and foreign publications on road construction and maintenance.
