"With excellent knowledge of the language of traditional jazz, and among his inspirations Robert Glasper, Christian Scott, Theo Croker, Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, Snarky Puppy, Chris Dave, etc., K. Šarkus does not try to ride the wave of retro music, repeating the forgotten past canons of sound, or dive headfirst into the whirlwinds of free jazz common in Lithuania. On the contrary, he is looking for ways to make the heritage of the flagships of traditional and fusion jazz sound new, to enrich it with non-traditional instruments and to add a bit of Lithuanianness to the global jazz treasury."
