The global film industry has already discovered Semeliške. Even in NETFLIX series, images of the surroundings can be seen, and the locals do not miss the opportunity to make money: filming, feeding or otherwise occupying the guests. The town is small, but cozy. Famous not only St. Rock indulgences of St. Lauryna parish, but also at cultural events, republican plein airs of painting. Elder Loreta Zaparackaitė-Karalevičienė knows the history of Semeliškiės well. She collected memoirs from locals and published several publications.
