Geological Survey of Lithuania | The Earth's Depth Information Centre (ŽGIC) invites you to visit the renovated exhibition and get acquainted with the temporarily visiting exceptional exhibit – the mammoth Goša. The mammoth Goša is a unique Arctic find, discovered at a depth of 6 meters, and its age reaches 115–130 thousand years. The injuries visible on the bones allow us to guess about its life and struggles in the Ice Age environment.
- In the exhibition you will also see:
- – updated geological exhibits,
- – various fossils and minerals,
- – samples of Lithuanian oil and other Lithuanian minerals.
- Period: January 28, 2026 - March 14, 2026
- Available visiting times for those who have registered: Thursday from 9:00 to 13:00, Friday from 10:00 to 16:00.
- Visiting is free:
- • 8 EUR – for adults
- • 4 Eur – for schoolchildren, students and pensioners
- • for teachers accompanying groups of students and children up to 6 years of age (inclusive) – free of charge
- Payment on site: by bank card or cash
